FLJ: Covid-19

Posted on Mar 18, 2020 by Natalie Phillips

Much like your business, FLJ continues closely monitoring Government advice and the evolving Coronavirus/Covid 19 situation. The wellbeing of our colleagues, clients and those that we work with is our first priority. Our heartfelt thoughts go out to those people and families already affected by the Coronavirus and in context we feel the need to take steps to reduce the risk to our and your people, while continuing to support your business.

  • We would like to reassure our clients that we have the procedures and infrastructure in place and implemented to enable us to continue to provide the high quality service that our clients expect of us.
  • Our colleagues have been advised that they can work from home, if they wish to do so, and to avoid any unnecessary travel. We have ensured all of our professional and support staff have the IT capability to work from home:
  • Our VPN allows our entire team to work remotely whilst accessing our IT/Server systems. This is more than sufficient for all of FLJ to work simultaneously whilst out of the office.
  • We have conference call facilities, Microsoft Teams Software and video call facilities in place to dial into meetings with clients, consultant teams and Local Planning Authorities.
  • We will continue to attend key meetings in person if necessary (unless specifically requested not to by the client or government).
  • We have internal software contact and messaging systems in place so that our teams can communicate efficiently with each other.
  • We have experienced External Health & Safety, H.R, and I.T. consultants providing us with expert advice on a 24 hour basis (who can also provide support remotely to those working from home).
  • We continue to operate an enhanced daily cleaning regime in our office and there are anti-viral and high alcohol hand sanitizers and wipes widely available.

We have an experienced and Professional staff base and have sufficient resilience within the company to provide necessary support and cover should any of our staff become unwell. We have effective information sharing resources (that also work remotely) to ensure continuous service to your projects.

Our office has a forwarding facility for incoming calls and allotted members of the team will be answering phone calls as normal. All Professional staff are available on their mobile phones.
