Acting on behalf of SIG plc, Fox Lloyd Jones has let a 23,500 square foot industrial unit in Stourton, Leeds to Future Network Solutions (FNS).
FNS, which specialises in fibre and copper network installations for the telecommunications industry, currently employs 130 people and operates a fleet of 80 vehicles. Its head office had previously been based in premises in the city’s Lower Wortley area.
The new site has significantly increased the size of the accommodation enabling FNS to bring its stores facility and administration under one roof. It will also allow it to execute ambitious expansion plans to grow its existing workforce, fleet size and geographical reach from its current operational areas of Yorkshire, Lancashire and the North East.
Founded eleven years ago, FNS specialises in major fibre and copper cable installations which it carries out for some of the leading telecoms companies in the UK, including Openreach, Virgin Media and Talk Talk.
Speaking about the move, director of FNS , Chris Walton, said,
“Since our formation in 2007, we have built an excellent reputation within the telecoms sector for providing first rate turnkey solutions.
“With a leadership team that has more than 35 years’ experience of working on high-level communication projects for blue chip companies, we have earned an enviable reputation for delivering the expertise and innovation needed in a fast moving industry.
“As we continue to win new contracts it was essential to operate out of premises which could accommodate all the different areas of the business, as well as enabling us to meet our ambitious expansion plans.”
Tom Shelton of Fox Lloyd Jones, said,
“This deal underlines the fact that the industrial property market in Leeds and Yorkshire as a whole remains strong, and good quality stock will let well. It was great to work with SIG to find a good quality tenant and to be able to assist FNS with their expansion to larger, better quality premises.”
